Laser Gas Processing

Gas processing is a technique that removes the impurities that form during operation from the laser gas reservoir to increase fill lifetime. If impurities are swept out of the gas mixture, the fill responds better to halogen injections, resulting in less frequent partial gas replenishments. A small amount of the laser gas mixture is continuously pumped out of the gas reservoir into the gas processor where the gas is filtered, then passed through a cryogenic trap.
